Updating Fields in Microsoft Word

Many people think solutions and features don't work because they don't see the change occur, when all you need to do is update the fields in the document.

So, you inserted a field to add the file name to the document, but it remains the same? You need to cause an action that updates fields. Here they are:

• Print (updates all)
• Print Preview (updates all)
• Ctrl+A, then F9 (updates all)
• Right-click an individual field and hit Update (updates individual field)
